Hi Friends and Family,

As you all know, I work for a wonderful organization up in Yonkers, NY that serves individuals with developmental disabilities called Richmond Community Services.  We are very special in that we support those with the most severe intellectual and physical disabilities.  Most of our individuals are wheelchair bound and are unable to talk.  Many are unable to eat by mouth and must be fed through a gastric tube.  ALL of them are wonderful, lovable, and special.

Twenty-seven years ago, Richmond Community Services decided to designate a special day to celebrate the potential of people with different abilities.  It’s a day when families, friends, and individuals with differing abilities spend time together enjoying fun, food and activities.

Please "support" this fabulous day through a sponsorship or contribution. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Another way to Support is by giving the GIFT OF TIME:

"Buddy for the Day"- Be someone’s “Buddy for the Day” and provide the wonderful gift of friendship and companionship to an individual who does not have family to share this fun-filled carnival.

"Lend a Hand" - We invite you to “lend a hand” with our barbeque or one of the carnival activities. Not only will your actions bring a smile to someone’s face but also you’ll no doubt have a great time as well!
