Hi Everyone! As you may know I have decided to train for a half marathon (YIKES) and was excited to learn that the charity associated with the event donates wheelchairs to men, women, and children in third world countries. Many of you know that I work at a school with children who have a variety of orthopedic impairments and many of them use wheelchairs, walkers, etc. to get around. Here in the US these children are provided the tools they need to get around but there are so many people in other countries that are not as fortunate as the children I work with. It costs just $44.40 to provide a wheelchair for someone who desperately needs one. I've decided to try and raise enough money to buy 10 but I'd LOVE to be able to buy more! With your help I'm sure I can do it! Help me make my goal and provide 10 or MORE deserving people with the gift of mobility. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
