Zachary's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
It seemed I was a perfectly typical baby. However, it has been almost 3 years since I was diagnosed with Autism. Some days are more of a struggle than others. I am 5 years old now. I can finally speak at a 2 1/2 year old level. I have crossed many bridges and jumped many hurdles to get where I am at today. However, I still have a long road ahead to get where I need to be. I have many friends, family and supporters who have helped me along the way and my Mommy and Daddy thank you from the bottom of their hearts. The HEAL foundation has helped me as well as many, many other children who are dealing with the same disorder. Please, help "HEAL" help ME!! Someday, maybe I will be able to come up to you and thank you personally.
"Tragically, Autism Spectrum Disorders now affect 1 in 91 children today. Since its inception, HEAL has raised more than $1 million to serve the hundreds of local families and individuals affected by Autism. These funds allow HEAL to disburse, grants that help support camps, educational programs, community projects and financial aid for families in the Jacksonville Florida area. Ultimately, HEAL's goal is to generate enough funding to build HEAL House, a refuge where therapeutic programs and services can be offered under one roof. "
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. Any little bit helps.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might like to help.
* If you cannot donate, we thank you regardless. If you live locally, the annual "walk for autism" is at the Jacksonville zoo on April 25th, 2010. We have formed a team if anyone would like to join, click on "join team" at the top of this page. You don't have to join but we'd love for anyone who can to come on out and walk with "Zac's Pack!" *
A special thank you to my Great Aunt Harriet for her offline donation. :)
Thank you for reading Zac's page. :)
