I am participating at the Highland Festival Run/Walk to remember my daughter, Anna, who suffered a fatal Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism last year. She was an athlete all her life. She never missed a Highland Festival but was usually busy competing in highland dancing. She loved dancing, played high school and college tennis and was training for a triathalon at the time of her death.
Anna loved life and was committed to always improving her own health and those of others. She had just completed her first year of dental school at University of Pittsburgh. Our family is honoring her by sharing the message of the National Blood Clot Alliance to increase awareness and education about DVT/PE.Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
