Sarah Asmussen's Fundraising Page
Update! I completed all 26.2 miles yesterday! Jason, Erin (Mason) & Steve were at the finish line cheering me on. Jason stopped at 5 points along the way to support me. What a great husband. Thanks everyone for all of your support!
Love,
Sarah
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
After much research...and decision making, I decided that supporting the National Stroke Association would be a great idea.
I can't wait to celebrate with family and friends after the marathon. I've been training extensively the last several weeks (with blisters to show). I look forward to the run in OCT and know that Bertha will be with me each step of the way. I truly appreciate your support.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. If you would rather send money (e.g., 10 cents for each mile I complete...26.2 x .10 = 2.60) directly to me, I will add it to the account. I will post my final results on 19 OCT (miles completed). Your donation is truly appreciated.
As most of you know I was very close to my mamaw, Bertha Mattox. She passed away most likely from a brain aneurysm in January of 2002. My training, running, and completeing the marathon (18 OCT in Columbus Ohio) is in memory of her. She was one of my best friends and truly touched the lives of everyone that knew her.
