Dear Friends and Family,

On October 11th, 2009, I will be running my third Chicago Marathon for World Vision!  Yes, I love to run.  Yes, I love that I can run with a great purpose and mission.  I'm running for the fatherless, poor, and needy.

World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.

You can also partner with this great cause by giving financially in support of my marathon!  Please pray about what the Lord would have you give in order to help make a difference in changing lives around our world.  

You might also consider sponsoring a child year-round through World Vision.  I can tell you that it is a rich blessing!  I personally get to support, pray for, receive letters, and write to a precious little girl named Rosa Emilia from Nicaragua! 

God's word tell us in Isaiah 1:17 to "Learn to do good; seek justice, reprove the ruthless, defend the orphan, plead for the widow."
