Jeremy runs the 2009 NYC Marathon to help animals in need!
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
Jeremy is our star marathon man, and is currently training to run his third NYC marathon this November 1. We both thought it would be an opportune time to raise money for one of our favorite charities! The Humane Society does so much for the animals in our country, and they depend on our donations and support.
Did you know?:
- about 4 million animals are euthanized PER YEAR in the US alone?
- about 1 in 4 dogs in shelters are purebreds?
- that out of all the states, New York State has the 47th weakest dog fighting laws in the country?
- that many garmets labeled as "faux-fur" actually contain hair from dogs and cats killed for their fur?
Please donate to our cause to help the Humane Society continue to battle and fix (not just bandaid!) our country's pet over-population and abuse/neglect problems through educational efforts, community awareness, spaying and neutering programs, and legislation.
What can you do to help? Donate, and then spread the word to your friends, families, and communities to ADOPT animals instead of buying them. Also, sign up to receive emails from Humane Society at www.hsus.org; you will be notified when important legislation comes up in your area for you to be able to support. They will send you updates of how your money makes a difference that will inspire you to keep fighting for change! We can all make a difference now!
Cheer on Jeremy this year as he sets out to beat his PR of 2:36:00 - I TOLD you he was good!! - and make a difference for animals at the same time. Please forward along to anyone who you think may also want to contribute. Thank you so much for your support!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
