Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center! This is my third year walking for BARCC, and I am deeply supportive of their mission. We are still living in a world where men, women, and children are overwhelmingly impacted by sexual assault, abuse, and rape - as survivors, friends, and partners.
I write about these issues (not often enough) on my blog: http://notokbyme.typepad.com/not-ok-by-me/
BARCC is the only provider of comprehensive rape crisis services in the greater Boston area. They provide free services to survivors, family members and the community. That is only possible through donations from people like you.
Here's how your donations can help:
$25 helps BARCC answer two hotline calls.
$75 pays for medical accompaniment to a hospital emergency room by a trained volunteer.
$200 supports the first three sessions of free counseling for survivors and their families.
$1,000 allows a new volunteer or intern to attend BARCC’s comprehensive training program.
Thank you in advance for supporting the Walk - and please consider walking with us for change too! It would be great to have some company!
