Hello Everyone! Welcome to my page! On January 17^th 2010 I will be taking on my biggest physical challenge yet! I will be running in the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll ½ Marathon. Most of you who know me well are probably thinking, “Are you kidding me? Sarah running in a half marathon?!” Yes, it’s really true and I need everyone’s help to make it to the finish line!

There are three reasons I decided to participate in this event: 1). To challenge myself physically and whip myself into shape! 2). To honor the memory of my mother and grandmother who passed away of cancer, and 3). To raise money for the Phoenix Children’s hospital.

Two years ago, I delivered a beautiful and healthy baby girl and as I was leaving the hospital I saw something that I will always remember: A newborn baby being transferred by ambulance to Phoenix Children’s hospital in a big incubator, while the terrified parents looked on in horror. I can’t begin to imagine what those parents were going through and I am so grateful everyday for Emma’s good health. Not every parent and child is so fortunate which is why I decided to do this fundraiser.

I am asking, if you can find it in your hearts and wallets, to please support me and this cause. I realize we are all suffering from hard economic times, but unfortunately that does not change anything for these children. Please remember, whether you donate $1 or $100, every little bit helps and counts! Your tax deductable donation will bring me closer to my goal and will allow PCH to provide specialized care to Arizona’s most sick and injured children.
