Sarah Ryder's Fundraising Page
Dear Friends and Family,
On June 19, 2010, I will be participating in the 7th Annual Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K Race/Walk to Cure ALS. This event raises money towards a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. ALS is a progressive and fatal neurodegenerative illness that attacks motor neurons. When motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to control muscle movement is lost leading to atrophy and paralysis.
My personal fundraising goal is listed above. Every dollar that I raise will be directed to UMass Medical Center where Dr. Robert Brown and his colleagues are doing groundbreaking research toward a cure for this devastating disease. All donations are tax deductible and company matching contributions are highly appreciated.
In these economic times, I know how difficult it is to donate to every worthy charity. Every dollar donated will be used solely for medical research and can truly bring us closer to a cure. Please help me towards the attainable goal of finding a treatment or cure for ALS in our lifetime! EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS!! Any donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and can be made online by clicking the Support Us Now button above, or if you prefer, please make check out to: The Angel Fund and mail it to me. I will add any mailed in donations on to my site as well.
