Here is a little of Olivia's story...

Olivia was a normal child who loved to wear frilly dresses with dirty knees while digging for worms. Strong willed but always ready with a smile, giggle or hugs. She began showing developmental delays at 4 1/2, a slight lisp, uncoordinated, tripping alot, dropping things. Then the focal seizures came, the first one being discovered the last day of day care before starting kindergarten. We thought she was just being difficult or having selective hearing. Then they developed into stronger more intense seizures. Late in December 2007, right before Christmas she went into status. We finally agreed to have her tested for HD and Rhett's syndrome. I can still remember that night, the lab tech came in to draw her blood at 7 p.m. and all it took everything in me not to push her blood back in before the syringe came out. Three months later we had the results. Juvenile Huntington's Disease. Since then she has been on a spiral down hill... Olivia is still fighting strong against this terrible condition and with your help maybe one day there will be a cure and she can dance around the house singing Grease like any other child.

We truely arnt asking for alot at all. We all understand times are tough  & everyone is busy with their own lives. Attending the walk with us and showing that you support the cause means the world to all those in the family and if you cant attend every cent donation helps us get one step closer to the final goal, to find a cure.
