Akshaya Patra is an amazing organization doing amazing things!  Leading the charge against child hunger and driving home the idea that all children deserve an education in India, the organization definitely makes you realize how lucky you really are.  Most of us have never had to worry about where our next meal was coming from or if we would be able to go to college, let alone elementary school.

With 17 dedicated kitchens in 7 states in India, Akshaya Patra now feeds over 1 million children a day!  What's perhaps more remarkable is how little it costs to feed a single child for a whole school year - just $28!  Where government subsidies are available, $28 goes even further to feed 2 children for a whole school year.

The next milestone set by the organization is to feed 5 million children by 2020.  Please consider helping them reach this goal.  A donation in any amount is welcome and much appreciated!
