2012 NYC Triathlon

Scot's Page

Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you know, I started in the sport of triathlon in 2011 as a way to get in shape and better myself. Having found a great appreciation for the sport, I plan on continuing this year, however now I want to do it for the betterment of others.

This year on July 8th I will be participating in the NYC Triathlon as a member of TEAM BOOMER. This a division of the Boomer Esiason Foundation who's mission statement is as follows:

The Boomer Esiason Foundation is a dynamic partnership of leaders in the medical and business communities joining with a committed core of volunteers to heighten awareness, education and the quality of life for those affected by cystic fibrosis, while providing financial support to research aimed at finding a cure.

There are two very special reasons I have to raise money for the fight against CF; Ellie and Judah Spellman. These are the lovely children of my dear friends John and Brittany.  I have been fortunate to know both of them since birth and want to contribute, in some small way, to being a part of the solution to the problems they face every day living with CF. I also want to help ensure they can enjoy an active lifestyle, which is a key component in helping CF patient's overall health.

Please join me in this effort in any way you can. Every single dollar will help. My goal for fundraising is $2000, but I know with everyone's support, we can do much better than that!

Thank you for taking the time to read this,

Scot Brown
