Sons of HD is an organization aimed at raising funds and awareness to cure Huntington’s Disease through events and movements like Tri for Alice.  For more on Tri for Alice and Sons of HD, please visit www.sonsofhd.com.  Huntington's Disease ("HD") is a fatal genetic, degenerative neurological disorder and affects some 10,000 Americans.

Have you ever hit with a concept so obvious that you can’t believe it took you your entire life up to that point to realize?  Fitness.  Nutrition.  Positivity.  It’s so simple!  Since being bitten by the triathlon bug, Andy, Brian and Scott have found that taking care of yourself really steers your life in the right direction; we’ve also noticed the effects of the bug are contagious.
 
Tri for Alice grew TENFOLD in just one year since its start in 2009.  Joined by people interested in growing our movement while also improving themselves, we’ve become a charitable team where everybody wins.  We’re training for a triathlon as a team, hoping to create a presence at our June 6th race that turns heads.  People will see the strength and fraternity of our group and ask questions about our cause.  And just like last year, our team will grow again.  This is how we create awareness of Huntington’s Disease, which is one of the goals of Tri for Alice.  The other goal is to raise funds for research of HD, and we’re hoping that’s why you’re at this website.
 
We raised just over $10,000 in Tri for Alice 2009, and about the same in our 2008 race before Tri for Alice had a name.  This year we hope to raise more money than any other year.  Just like previous years, the money goes to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (“HDSA”) and is devoted to research for a cure.
 
The racers of Tri for Alice have been training hard, changing their lifestyle in some cases so they can finish this race.  It’s our belief that the Tri for Alice racing team, together with the support of its sponsors/donors, can help HDSA finish its race toward a cure for HD.  Thanks for your donation.  It means more than you know.
