Scott Greenberg's Fundraising Page
Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know, our Mom passed away on February 2, 1997 from a glioblastoma multiforme. She was 43. She was a beautiful and courageous person. We love and miss her very much. Glioblastomas are the most common primary brain tumor in adults, but unfortunately, are the most aggressive. The average survival time from diagnosis is only a short 9 months. There has been minimal progress over the last 20 years regarding treatment for these types of brain tumors. Over 44,500 people in the United States and Canada are diagnosed with primary brain tumors each year. A good proportion of these tumors strike adults in their prime. Brain tumors are also the most common cause of cancer-related death in children. It is imperative that new research is completed regarding treatment for this disease. What's not a better way to help then to personally donate to the National Brain Tumor Foundation and sponsor my sister and I for our walk. We would also love for you to participate in the walk on June 7, 2008. Below you will find all the information you need and remember every dollar matters. If you register for the walk, then make sure to join Team Gwen. I look forward to seeing many of you there! Feel free to email me if you have any questions at greenbsj@gmail.com. Information on the event can be found at http://www.braintumor.org/AngelAdventure/Denver/ (see below as well)
