Scott Stetson's ATY Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Through community we find strength, and through that strength we exemplify our Nation.
The Lead the Way Fund, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to raise funds in support of disabled U.S. Army Rangers and the families of Rangers who have died, have been injured or are currently serving in harm’s way around the world. Lead the Way Fund, Inc. will provide spouses and children of deceased, disabled or active duty Rangers with assistance for health and wellness programs and other services determined to be vital to the family’s well-being. The assistance offered by Lead the Way is inspired by the courage and character of Sgt. James J. Regan who was killed in Iraq while serving with honor with Charlie company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
A little about me:
I have been in the military 18 years now. After tours in upstate, NY, Hawaii and Fort Gordon, GA I finally came to the Ranger Regiment in April of 2004 and have been here ever since. Out of my years in the Regiment I was with 3rd Battalion for a total of 30 months; during that time Jimmy paid the ultimate sacrifice during one of our tours.
After that deployment I had decided to run a marathon to see if I could do it. While I was training for this marathon my mind would often focus on Jimmy and the many other young men like him that we had lost in our fight. Men that afforded me the opportunity to continue my way of life as an American. I would often wonder if their families knew that we still embrace them as our family, and after I crossed the finish line of that first marathon I made the conscious decision to do what I could to help the families of the fallen and my wounded brothers that have given all they could to provide us with what we have.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my efforts to support the LTWF.
I thank you immensely for your support.
RLTW!
