Thank you for visiting my corner of the "Coasting for Kids" giving site (especially if you're taking a break at work)!  I am participating in the "Coasting For Kids" this June, benefitting Give Kids The World in Orlando, Florida.

Several years ago while covering stories at Give Kids the World, something clicked; no matter our background or ability level, a smile and a deep laugh can bring comfort and joy. Combine these warm emotions with a warm family vacation, and you have something I call "The Power of Play."

In June, I am heading north to Cedar Fair's wonderful park in Virginia for Coasting for Kids at Kings Dominion. Outside the nation's capital, I'll join other Give Kids the World supporters and ride a few roller coasters (well... maybe a lot of roller coasters). What could be better than raising money for a great cause while enjoying one of America's premier amusement parks?
