Hope is something that most parents of children with autism search for every day. We hope the treatment will pay off; we hope our child will speak one day; we hope for help and understanding. Thanks to the generous community of Northwest Florida, hope is called “Kids for Camp.”
Since 2007, Autism Pensacola has put on an intensive summer learning lab for individuals on the spectrum. For parents, summer break can be a time when progress made during the school year is lost. But children and teens at Kids for Camp continue the learning process all summer long. And, just as important, local teachers turn their summer vacation into a time to gain valuable knowledge on best practices in teaching individuals with autism.
API is now holding its “Friends & Family” Campaign. Our family is asking you to consider joining us in helping SCOTT KNECHT and his friends spend the summer learning at Kids for Camp 2012. All proceeds from this campaign will reduce families’ costs for camp. Our goal is to raise $750.00
