Sean George Tri-ing to Help Others, October 2009
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for HOPE FOR TRISOMY 13 AND 18 INC!
Since I started training in 2007 for my first triathlon, I have wanted my efforts to promote more than just my own health & well-being. This year I am focusing on two Olympic-distance triathlon events, and giving people the opportunity to support two causes I hold dear. My first focus event is in April (click for more info). This, my second focus event, will be the Pinehurst Triathlon on October 10, to support HOPE FOR TRISOMY 13 AND 18, INC. For those of you who don’t know, I selected this one because my first son, Ethan, was born with Trisomy 13 and lived only seven weeks. For more information about Ethan, you can visit his webpages (click here). For more information about HOPE FOR TRISOMY 13 AND 18, INC., you can visit their site (click here).
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Throughout the year I will also be participating in other events, as lead-ups or simply for personal milestones. Most of the events I enter benefit causes of their own, apart from my two charities of focus. So, if you aren’t especially interested in helping impoverished American Indian kids or families with kids who have T-13, feel free to select one of the events' charities and give to them instead. Click here for more information.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone whom you think might want to donate too!
