- Most people don’t know that Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is the most common form of muscular dystrophy.
- Most people don’t know that 1 in every 3500 boys has DMD worldwide.
- Most people don’t know that by the time these boys are teenagers they will live life from a wheelchair.
- Most people don’t know that most of these boys won’t make it into their 20’s.
- Most people don’t know that it is 100% fatal…there is no cure…yet.
Last year, we climbed for the Boys who can't. This year, we're doing it again. Our team is joining others around the country for the 2010 Climb to Cure Duchenne: Pick Your Peak.
This is an event to raise awareness and money to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Our Shasta team consists of a group of extraordinary individuals all willing to brave the elements and climb to the mountain top!
WHY
