2012 Walk for Economic Empowerment-Columbus

Last year the PEER Servants' Walk for Economic Empowerment in Columbus and other locations raised over $10,000 that went directly to serve the materially poor in the small eastern European country of Moldova. To "meet" Valeriu Ghiletchi, member of the Moldovan parliament and board chair of Invest Credit, and hear his words of appreciation for our 2011 effort, see the short video at

http://vimeo.com/channels/micromatters#27004767

On May 12, 2012 we will again be walking in Franklin Park, with a goal of raising $15,000 for Christ-centered economic development in Moldova. By providing loan capital and business training to entrepreneurs who are starting or growing small businesses, our Moldovan microfinance partner Invest Credit has helped alleviate poverty and provide employment in a country recovering from decades of communist oppression. 100% of donations to this Walk are sent to Moldova, to be used for small loans that make a difference to thousands of materially poor families who are working hard to build small businesses and be a part of transformation in Moldova.

Please join us on May 12 in Franklin Park! You can register to walk at w4ee.org (be sure to select "Moldova/Invest Credit" as the microfinance institution you are supporting). Once registered you can set up your own fundraising page, decide how much of the $15,000 you want to raise (we've decided on the $1,000 noted above) and start inviting your friends to join you in this effort. Please email us at secondfiddle07@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support Christ-centered economic development in Moldova. Invest Credit is a program of Moldovan-led CAMED; for more information about Moldova and this ministry go to www.camedministries.org/  To learn more about Columbus-based Walk co-sponsor Second Fiddle Ministries, go to www.secondfiddle.org

(While this page will be available until December, we encourage you to use it now!)

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
