About the "Lotus Elephants": This name actually has two stories behind it.  The Lotus is a beautiful flower representing femininity, but it only grows in the muddy, mucky waters of a swamp.  The Elephant comes from a story a fellow survivor's father told her when she was in a tough spot.  He'd say to her, "How do you eat an elephant?"  The answer, of course, is one bite at a time.  But when her dad told this story, he was also saying, "I believe in you, and I love you."  That is why we are the Lotus Elephants.
