Hi, my name is Shannon Bisel. As most all of you know, I recently made a career-changing decision, and transferred to the Olathe Police Department in August 2009. I am still employed as a Police Officer, going into my 10^th year of Law Enforcement…a profession I truly do love. As an officer for my last employer, the Merriam Police Department, I had the opportunity to volunteer for numerous fundraising events to raise donations for Special Olympics Kansas.  I also participated as a runner in the Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run, and have been doing so since June 2001.  This is another event which raises funds to benefit Special Olympics.  While at the Olathe Police Department, I plan on continuing with all my fundraising endeavors. I will be participating in this year's Torch Run on June 1, 2010. This will mark my 10^th year of being involved in an event that raises money for such a great cause.

Yes, I know that it will be quite the challenge this year since I will be running with a Baby-on-Board!
