Lupus Fundraising in Memory of Heather Jones Reimer
REMEMBERING HEATHER'S LIFE AND HER FIGHT WITH LUPUS
This page is a fundraising page for the Lupus Foundation of America in memory of a special person - Heather Lea Jones Reimer.
Heather was a daughter, sister, wife, friend and aunt to people who loved her dearly.
Heather had a wonderful life, surrounded by all who loved her. She was diagnosed with systematic lupus in July of 1999. In July 2007, she found out neuropsychiatric involvement - causing her seizures - and lupus nephrits, which involved her kidneys.
Although she lived her life to the fullest, she experienced many negative symptoms of lupus - extreme fatigue, the butterfly rash, seizures and much more. She was very involved with the Lupus Foundation, hoping they would find a cure soon so she and millions of others didn't have to suffer with this debilitating disease.
Heather was set to participate in an agressive treatment against her lupus in Georgia, but she wanted to wait because she wanted to be healthy and energetic for her first year wedding anniversary at the end of September 2008.
She died on Friday, October 17, 2008 of a lupus-related seizure at her home in Seattle. She was 30 years old.
Heather, your family and friends miss you and we hope we can raise money through this page to kick lupus to the curb!
