PACC911's Bowl-A-Rama for Animal Rescue is the biggest fundraising event of the year for New Hope Cattle Dogs Rescue. This event has proven to be a fantastic and much needed fundraiser for the animal community. This year's 8th annual Bowl-A-Rama is scheduled for August 7th, 2010 and NHCD will be accepting pledges for the event through August 6th. The pledges are not per bowling pin (thank goodness), they are just one lump sum in support of the NHCD volunteer/bowler you wish to represent...
If you prefer to pledge/donate by check, please make it payable to "NHCD" and enter "Bowl-A-Rama" on the memo line. The donation mailing address is P.O. Box 84136, Phoenix, Az. 85071.
All money pledged / donated to NHCD through PACC911's Bowl-A-Rama will be used to fund much needed veterinary care. Your donations will help new dogs coming into rescue as well as fund continued medical treatment for Bull and the Mustang puppies (fighting parvo) still in our care. See their brief bio below…
Bull: Bull has Valley Fever. We pulled him from the S. Az Humane Society March 2010. He had a limp and lesion on his back leg. After several tests and x-rays he was diagnosed positive for Valley Fever, his titers were 1:8. He also had a bad case of kennel cough. Bull’s kennel cough is long gone, but he is still battling the Valley Fever. His body is having a hard time taking in the medication. The vet thinks the VF may be spreading. We are going to try new treatment. He is such a sweet and special boy, please help him by supporting NHCD Rescue. See Bull’s video.
June 29th Update On Bull: Bull is doing better. We are trying a new diet and meds/supplements, and it seems to be helping. He is able to hold down his food and is gaining some weight. He has some stiffness in his neck so he is getting his first body massage and Reiki treatment on July 3rd. We are hoping it will help him feel better.
Mustang Puppies: We rescued the 4 pups May 2010 from a junkyard in Phoenix. It took us 4 hours to pulls these pups from under a car resting on the ground. Two days ago they started showing signs of Parvo and we rushed them to Animal Medical Surgical Center in Scottsdale. Windsor graced us with his presence for only a short time. He had such a sweet and playful spirit. Windsor's little body just wasn't strong enough to fight off the disease. He was a brave little boy. We helped him over the RainbowBridge. RIP lil’ baby Windsor XOXO. His 3 brothers Cobra, Boss and Cleveland started aggressive treatment including twice daily sub-q fluids. Now, two days later they are all still eating and doing well. They have a few more days until we know if they are out of the woods. These pups have touch all our hearts, please keep them in your thoughts.
June 29th Update On Mustang Brother's: Cobra, Cleveland and Boss are all doing great. They are eating, playing and acting like puppies should. They love their little pool. They are due to be neutered on July 12th and will be available for adoption after then. We feel so fortunate they survived. See a current video of Boss and Cleveland. http://tinyurl.com/25epory
