Description: New Hope Cattle Dogs is a national humane organization that assists in the rescue and placement of Australian Cattle Dogs in Arizona and Colorado-- dedicated to responsible Australian Cattle Dog ownership and public educational endeavors.
Mission: New Hope Cattle Dogs, Rescue & Rehoming, Inc. (NHCD), founded in 2001, grew out of the need to find adoptive homes for the ever-increasing number of unwanted, stray, abandoned or improperly placed Australian Cattle Dogs (aka Queensland Heelers/Blue Heelers). New Hope Cattle Dogs is comprised entirely of volunteers that assist in the rescue and placement of Australian Cattle Dogs (ACDs) throughout the United States, with its primary focus in Arizona, Colorado and other Southwest states. New Hope Cattle Dogs participates in regional placement of dogs. Additionally, a great deal of NHCD's efforts is directed at educating the public about the breed and the difficulties of living with a herding dog. NHCD's goal is to avoid ACDs ever ending up in a rescue, shelter or county facility by educating people that are considering the acquisition of one of these dogs.
