SYDNEY'S ANGEL ARMY
YOU ARE BEING RECRUITED TO JOIN THE ANGEL ARMY!!
As you know, our little Sydney had quite a close call this past Spring when a septic infection nearly took her from us. But, thanks to the amazing care at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and the prayers of hundreds and hundreds of people around the world, Sydney is a smiling, happy 19-month old! She is learning to crawl again and will walk again one day!! She is literally a miracle in action and we owe so much of her success to Children's Hospital.
But it's not just Sydney's life that we owe to Children's. When she was six months old, she was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma, a rare genetic disorder which if left unchecked will cause blindness. Thanks to an amazing team at the Children's Hospital Eye Clinic and Froedtert Hospital's Eye Institute, Sydney's vision has been saved through several surgical procedures and her prognosis is great.
And that's not all Children's Hospital has done for Sydney! When she was just four months old, she was diagnosed with her first urinary tract infection. Follow-up testing detected reflux in her ureters, a common condition in newborns and one she likely inherited from her mom. For the last year, she has been monitored and recently underwent surgery to help prevent her condition from causing kidney infections later in life.
We walk because we owe Children's Hospital of Wisconsin more thanks than words could ever say. We are notified of all donations made online. If you prefer to send a check, you can make it payable to one of us and mail it to:
