MAY 11TH, 7:38 PM UPDATE FOR NES MEMBERS:
My dad sent me the link to the forum you've all been posting to and I'm overwhelmed by all the support and kind words from everyone. I'm sure plenty of you have noticed that I keep raising my fundraiser goal; it's a great cause that I'm willing to be greedy for! And of course, pictures will be posted once my hair's gone. :)
I also want to thank my mum for her constant support throughout all my struggles and for being there to help me in my quest to help others. From fostering kittens and dogs to raising money for cancer, my mum has helped me through thick and thin. And my dad for all he's done spreading the word and helping me through this whole process.
I want to thank all the men and women from the North Eastern Shooters who donated so generously. Your kindness has not gone unnoticed and I'm humbled by you all for showing love and support for this cause and for me without ever having met me. My father has been an NES member for a long time and you are all helping to lay ignorance to rest by being such strong, upright, caring and intellegent citizens who are also gun enthusiasts. Thank you for being good role models and for helping to lay idiocy to rest. Guns don't kill people and the members of NES are helping to save lives. Thank you.
I am buzzing off my hair in an event to raise money for children and their families fighting pediatric cancer. It's called the One Mission Kid's Cancer Buzz-Off and will be held on Sunday, June 3, at Gillette Stadium. All proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital Boston and the vital programs and services they provide to help kids beat cancer.
I have chosen to buzz off my hair because the toll pediatric cancer takes on patients and their families is profound. Children must endure painful treatments and lengthy hospital stays while their families cope with unimaginable stress, anxiety, and financial strain. Your generous support will assist One Mission in funding vital programs and services that bring help, hope, care and support to pediatric cancer patients and their families.
Donating through this website is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
