Do you remember the last time you tried something for the first time and succeeded? The picture of my nephew Carlos, to the left, was taken after he hit the archery target on his first visit to CGS last summer. His smile says it all.
Since 1949, Camp Grady Spruce "CGS" has been dedicated to making a positive, meaningful impact on its visitors in the areas of personal identity, values, relationships, education and spirituality. Annually, over 14,000 children, youth, teens and families participate in a life-changing event at CGS. For me, personally, CGS has provided a basis to build meaningful cross-generational relationships that continue to have a daily impact. In addition, it was here that I identified and started developing my spritual gifts that are put to use in my home, work, church and volunteer life.
