Hi!

Welcome to my Red Cross "Heroes Campaign" fundraising page!  As a "Hero" for the American Red Cross, Midland Empire Chapter, I have pledged to raise $1,000 by the end of March 2009. 

As you may know, I am member of the Board of Directors as well as a volunteer with the Midland Empire Chapter, which serves 10 counties in Northwest Missouri and three counties in Kansas.  I'm sure you are already familiar with the Red Cross in its role as a "first responder" in times of emergency, providing the immediate needs (including shelter, food, and financial assistance) for those in our community who have been affected by fire, tornadoes, floods or other natural disasters.  But you may not know some of the many other services we provide, including assisting those serving in the military and their families by passing on emergency messages; providing CPR and first aid training; providing swimming lessons; and providing smoke alarms and changing batteries for those in need. 

Our emergency assistance services are funded solely through private donations, which is why your financial support is so important.  Your donation to the Midland Empire Chapter will enable us to continue to provide these necessary services to our community this year.  Any donation, large or small, would be greatly appreciated.  Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
