Sheila Butler's Fundraising Page
Dear Donor,
I am participating in a community theater production of the 1937 Rodgers and Hart musical Babes in Arms, presented by Monroe County Civic Theater and Barnyard Productions. You may not be familiar with the musical, but it’s very likely you know some of the songs it made famous, including “Where or When,” “The Lady is a Tramp,” “Johnny One-Note,” and “My Funny Valentine."
Babes in Arms
Music by RICHARD RODGERS
Lyrics by LORENZ HART
Book by RODGERS & HART
Adapted by JOHN GUARE
The cast of Babes in Arms features 26 singers/actors/dancers age 18 and under, as well as five adults. In addition, young people and adults are sharing their talents and energy as members of the technical staff and crew.
Our performance dates are March 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. and March 27 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. All performances will take place at Jackson Creek Middle School Auditorium. Advance tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for youth 18 and under. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults, $8 for youth 18 and under. Since there is no reserved seating, tickets may be used at any performance. Tickets may be purchased from cast members or at the Eastside Bloomingfoods or online at www.bloomingtonarts.info .
Because our show is merit-based – no tuition fees are being charged to any participant – cast members are attempting to raise money to cover some of the expenses. You can support us by making a donation. Make sure you note who you are supporting in the comment section.
If you decide to become a donor, your donation will be tax-deductible. You will be acknowledged on the firstgiving banner in the lobby and in the printed program.
I am excited to be taking part in a production that brings together so many dedicated and enthusiastic young people and adults. Everyone involved in the show will appreciate your support at any level.
Hope to see you at the show!
