Sheila Ryan's Fundraising Page
Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! Paws Walk 2009 is just around the corner and the animals need us!
I'd like to tell you a story about Riley. She is one of the sweetest, most adorable puppies I've ever met. I had the priveledge of taking her home for a few days to foster her when she arrived from Indiana on a lifesaving transport. The day this beautiful little girl arrived at the NHSPCA would have been the day that she recieved a lethal injection at the over-crowded shelter that sent her to us.
As you can see, she is beautiful! She's only 4 months old. But they have too many dogs in Indiana, and many other places around the country. We are blessed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts to not suffer from overpopulation of dogs, (although there are still far too many unwanted and homeless cats and kittens). When I brought her home, my kids absolutely fell in love, and she was great with them. But we already have two dogs, and for us that is enough for now. The day I brought her back for her spay surgery and then her adoption, I cried. I cried because I would miss her, not because I was sad. The first day she was up for adoption, she found her new forever home and now has her own family to love.
Please help us make it possible for more dogs like Riley to live the life they deserve. A life of a home and family to call their own.
Every dollar counts. Please do whatever you can.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Sheila
