Isabella Needs Surgery- Will you Help?
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Isabelle.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
UPDATE!!!! 5/26/10- The Animal Trustees of Austin's famed Dr. Lewis is going to do the surgery for a fraction of the cost listed here!! We still need to raise a bit more than we have now, but the estimated $ 1,000 it will cost is much more manageable. This figure includes an ultrasound and xrays before her surgery, the surgery itself and follow up care plus medications. Thank you Dr. Lewis!
Just a few months ago Shadow Cats adopted Isabelle into a loving and forever home. How happy we all were to finally place this Hurricaine Katrina kitty!
Fast forward to today. Isabelle has recurrent spindle cell carcinoma and her leg must be amputated in order to save her life. The cost of this surgery is estimated at $2100 by Melinda's veterinarian. We are actively trying to find another rescue option to reduce the cost of the surgery but must plan for the possibility that this may be our best price.
That is where our wonderful network of friends and supporters come in. Shadow Cats feels a deep obligation to help Melinda and Isabelle even though Isabelle has left our care. We still love this kitty angel and want to help.
If everyone donated just a few dollars- every dollar will help- Isabelle's surgery will happen. Some may say why are we involved if she is no longer in our care. Why are we asking our supporters to help out once again? Well, the answer is that she could just as easily been returned to us once she got sick- yet she was not. Her guardian is devestated. If we can help Isabelle by coming to you- our supporters- we will.
Isabelle has been through so many of her lives. She has weathered so many storms. Yet here she is, the most loving of cats. Will you please help her enjoy the rest of her life? Please share this page with your friends.
With sincerest gratitude,
Sheila Smith/Shadow Cats
