Keeping Food on the Table!
Last year, July 2009, we had the opportunity to purchase a large quantity of Fancy Feast canned cat food at half price -this has kept us well stocked for the last year. That opportunity has once again presented itself and we'd love to take advantage of the offer.
One of our biggest ongoing expenses at the sanctuary is, of course, food.
We always try to feed the highest quality food that we can obtain to all the sanctuary cats. Our residents have a whole range of health issues, and sometimes it can be a challenge to get some of them to eat enough. Anyone with cats will tell you that there’s just something about Fancy Feast that almost every cat loves. It’s one of the very few foods that almost never fails to rouse at least some interest in an ailing cat. So Fancy Feast is an important part of our food locker.
The generous offer to sell Fancy Feast to us at such a huge discount is a wonderful opportunity, so we’d like to be able to buy as much of it as possible – it has a shelf life of several years. Everyone has used a two-for-one coupon at a restaurant for themselves…..when was the last time you had a chance to feed a whole bunch of really deserving kitties the same way?
We’re taking a leap of faith and ordering 70 cases at a cost of aproximately $500. Will you help us keep our Special Needs kitties eating to their hearts’ content?
If we are really fortunate and exceed our $500 goal, proceeds will be used to feed the feral and community cats we care for each day- 400 cats every single day... that is a lot of kibble!
