Update! 03/12/2011- Blossom continues to do wonderful things for Shadow Cats as our Spokeskitty and thrives in the loving care of David and Mary, her mom and dad. Read her story at http://www.shadowcats.net/blossoms-world.php.
For all the other cats in need that we continue to help and intervene on, we ask you, our wonderful supporters to remember us in 2011 as we continue to fulfill our mission. Thank you!
Update!! 10/01/2010-- Thank you to all that have contributed to this page and that continue to do so even after our goal for Blossom has been met. We've decided to leave this page up because as our Official SpokesKitty, Blossom represents all the kittens and cats that we have come across since her own rescue two years ago. (Check out Blossom's World at www.shadowcats.net)
Funds in excess of our goal go to help all those that have since come under Shadow Cats care. Cairo, a starving tabby kitten hours from death, Traveler who rode in car engine hundreds of miles and arrived with a tempearture of 106, Seventeen kittens and their their Moms Smudge, Diamond and Gloria who were saved from a predator attack, Cats dipped and dyed in a caustic materials, cats with cancers and other diseases and so many others-all cats helped because of the intervention Shadow Cats was able to provide. We were only able to do this because of your kind and generous donations.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping so many animals in need. The Shadow Cats Team
Initial Posting in 2008 - Blossom was found next to a busy road when she was barely four weeks old. She was huddled next to her mother who had just been hit by a car. A good Samaritan saw there was nothing she could do for the mother cat but she scooped up the kitten and left her with the next good Sams in line- the staff at Pet Supplies Plus in Austin, Tx. who in turned called Shadow Cats.
At Shadow Cats she received the veterinary care she desperately needed. Ultimately her eye was removed (she doesnt miss it now-six months later,-she is all high energy kitten!!) she was treated for several other issues and in the end she was adopted by a loving couple who treat her like the Queen Bee she was meant to be!
Her life truly is blessed now and her path is very different that what she was born to- all made possible by caring people like you.
At Shadow Cats, we make differences like this every day for the cats that cross our path but in this economic downturn we need your help now more than ever. Help us to continue to be able to respond to cats like Blossom and make a difference for cats truly in need.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- all donations are tax deductible- and don't forget to forward this to anyone you think might care about the plight of ill, injured, homeless and freeroaming/feral cats.
Thank you!
