Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

In 2012, I will be participating in a 5K (June 9th) and a Motorcycle Ride (September 15th) that benefit the American Foundation for Children with AIDS (AFCA). This is an organization that is giving life and hope to children with HIV, and I am honored to be one of their donors. Keep reading to learn more about AFCA and don't forget to make a donation. Together, we can make a difference!

In April of 2011, a mother in the Ndlabatsha village of Zimbabwe died of AIDS leaving her 14 and ten year old children alone in the world. Neighbors, 17 and 16 year old orphaned brothers, opened their door to these children. Now, the four children are a family fighting for survival. ZOE, partners of AFCA, gave these children ATMIT, a porridge, that is provided by AFCA. The ATMIT prevented the children from starving and allowed them to continue to attend school.

Two of my friends recently visited St Therese's orphanage in Kenya, another partner of AFCA. They came home with stories of compassionate, loving staff and healthy, happy children. They were amazed by the 52 children (some as young as 4 years old) who knew when to take their medicine and even the name of each medicine. Without St. Therese's and AFCA these children would be living on the streets and most likely would die from AIDS or other diseases.

Thanks for making a secure donation to AFCA through this website! Please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
