Every day Shelter to Home, Inc. continues to rescue companion pets that are on death-row at overcrowded animal shelters and pounds in the Downriver area. Through our animal adoptions, education of school-aged children and our function as liaisons between adopters and local shelters, we have seen many of our four-legged friend's lives changed for the better.
Let me share with you the story of Aislinn. Aislinn came into our rescue in July ’06. She had a life threatening bite wound that had infected her whole body and she was on the verge of death. She was also pregnant with a small litter of kittens. The pregnancy and the infection were too much for her little body, and Aislinn ended up losing her litter of kittens. She was put on medication and struggled through a harsh recovery process. It took her 5 months for her to finally recover and begin to play and walk and do all the normal activities a kitty loves to do! She is now living in New York with her new Mom and her new kitty brother, Morelli.
Fortunately, we were there in time to help Aislinn. Now she is thriving in a loving home where she will be a part of the family.
Shelter to Home, Inc. continues to work tirelessly to help make a difference in the lives of animals like Aislinn. Each and every animal affected by irresponsible people or unfortunate circumstances has reason to hope because we are there for them.
Today, you can make an immediate difference in the life of a cat or dog. Each $50 donation we receive will help to spay or neuter one more pet in order to curb the animal overpopulation problem. The average amount spent on a cat is $100, while $200 is needed for every dog. Many of the animals we save require more extensive veterinary care, vaccinations, and medications. The more money we raise, the more animals we can save from an otherwise certain death. You can become an essential part of this mission by donating much needed funds which will enable us to spend the majority of our time on the actual rescue and fostering of needy animals.
I hope we can count on you to help us with this charitable cause.
With grateful appreciation, your friend:
