Alabama Tornado Relief/ Red Cross
On April 27th one hundred and eighty tornados tore their way through the south taking the lives of hundreds and injuring thousands. A 1.5 mile wide, F-5 tornado demolished 80 miles worth of schools, churches, businesses, wildlife and homes heavily impacting Tuscaloosa, northern Birmingham, and several other Alabama communities. Officials claim there are currently 700 displaced families in shelters throughout the state, and this number is expected to grow. Hundreds of people are still unaccounted for and as the debris removal is underway the death toll is steadily rising.
Please join us as we raise relief support to aid the families who have lost their homes, jobs and loved ones. This site is a place to stay informed on current volunteer opportunities, where and how to make donations, and the latest news regarding rebuilding the great state of Alabama.
