As you all know, my neice Kayla has Cystic Fibrosis. She is 21 years old (almost 22) and over that time amazing advances have been made in treating and managing this difficult disease. The work that our little town and our little family and extended family (blood related and cause commited) has done over the years since her birth has raised over $1,000,000 toward research to find a CURE for this disease. We are not there yet, but we will never give up until that day arrives. 

I find it difficult personally to ask friend and family to sponsor my run for this event. Times are tough and budgets are certainly tight for most of us. But then I remember that this is not for me... this is not even for Kayla alone. Its for every single person with this disease. For their families and people that love them, that want them to be healthy, that want them around for 100 years. We do this event selfishly for our Kayla, yes. But also for everyone who loves someone with CF.

We will except nothing less than a cure. I appreciate anything you can give toward the research that makes this happen.
