CAREER WARDROBE

Winter 2010 Campaign Philadelphia,  Pennsylvania

Challenging acts of kindness this year!

What will your act of kindness be?

At The Career Wardrobe, we witness random acts of kindness daily. From the woman who drops off her suits even though she has a number of other demands on her time to the executive who takes time off to teach other women the skills they need to land a job. These individual acts remind us that each of us has something of value to offer another person and give them hope.

Angela's Act:  Giving Back to Those Who Help

"Recently separated and without a job, The Career Wardrobe gave me the support I needed to begin building my confidence and get back on track."

Angela was referred for a professional outfit when she was between nursing jobs and was going through a divorce. She left The Career Wardrobe with much more than just clothing when she was selected to attend the Pennsylvania Governor’s Conference for Women. There she had the opportunity to use the skills obtained through attending our professional development seminars to network with other women, hear empowering speakers and start down the road to independence.

When Angela was recognized this month as a Local Hero by Bank of America for her volunteer work with seniors and high school students in her West Philadelphia neighborhood, she knew it was her turn to give back and inspire others.

By designating her $2,500 award to The Career Wardrobe, she is sponsoring 16 women on the same inspirational journey she had.  This month they will receive not only clothing, but confidence and a chance to even the playing field with other job seekers.

Together we can do great things!

You may not have the ability to write a $2,500 check. But by pooling our resources, together we can provide women in Philadelphia the support they need to move forward in their lives.   Your gift today of $153 provides immediate help to one woman.

$153 is all it takes to fashion a new future for one woman. By joining together with other Club 153 members you help a woman gain the confidence in her abilities she needs to move forward and follow her path to self-sufficiency.

Thank you for your past support of The Career Wardrobe and your generous gift today.
