We've got something really great to be joyful for this holiday season!!   A very generous donor will match all donations made to Utah Friends of Basset Hounds — dollar for dollar — up to $3,000 !!

This means that your gift to help the animals, no matter the amount, will be doubled ...your $25 donation will actually add up to $50 for the animals, $100 will become $200.   We couldn't be more grateful for this wonderful opportunity to raise the much needed funds to care for our hounds.  We could receive up to $6,000 before the year's end, which would go a really long way to cover our expenses. 

Expenses like the ones we incurred caring for Sadie.  At ten years of age, Sadie came to us from a woman who was losing her battle against cancer.  It was clear that she had been well cared for and loved...and a little spoiled.  We discovered almost immediately that she had Glaucoma and was nearly blind in one eye.  We had it removed immediately and other than cutting a few corners too close, she's done just fine.  We continue to monitor her remaining eye, hoping we can keep her from losing it as well.  Sadie was adopted by the family who took her home to recover from the eye surgery...they continue to spoil her!
