As a participant in the Water 1st Ethiopia Water Tour, I traveled to Ethiopia, saw Water 1st projects and staff in action, and walked with women as they walked to collect water.  There are many reasons people need and deserve clean water.  For me, the most compelling reason is that many young girls are forced to drop out of school and spend their days walking miles to provide water for their families.

Please consider joining Team Coffee Bean and me for the Water 1st Carry 5.  The registration cost is low, it's a great way to learn more about Water 1st and a very tangible way to introduce your kids to water issues.

If you can't make the event, please consider making a donation to Water 1st through this webpage.  The organization plans water projects carefully, follows up dilligently and effectively publicize the issues associated with water and sanitation.
