For those of you who know Frank, you know his personality is waaaaaay bigger than his physical self; it would have been downright criminal to keep that personality bottled up. With the help of Northern Voices and their amazing team of teachers and therapists, Frank now talks to anyone and everyone and they understand him!!!! I would venture to guess that few of us gave much thought to learning to speak as it seems to happen effortlessly; for Frank and his buddies, that is not the case.
Frank joined Northern Voices at the age of 3; he had 5 muddy words, a snazzy metallic green walker and a personality that was just itching to get out. I am so proud to tell you that this is Frank's last year at Northern Voices and he plans to enter Kindergarten next year at St. Johns with Sam and Ellie! He walks (actually runs) without the assistance of anything but an orthotic and a pair of really fast tennis shoes, he NEVER stops talking and laughing and that personality has become legendary. Whether we are walking through the corrdiors of the Mayo Clinic or the hallways of St.Johns...Frank makes friends everywhere he goes. The gift of language is something that everyone should have a shot at, please consider sponsoring Frank as he finishes his third 5K to raise awareness for this very special school that has forever changed the course of his life. If you are not busy on May 5th, come on out to Long Lake Regional Park and walk with the cutest, most talkative group of kids you will ever have the pleasure of knowing!!
Thank you for always giving us a boost with your love, enthusiasm and care for Frank; we are so lucky to be reminded daily of what is possible in life as well as the innate kindness of others.
Much Love,
Frank's Fleet
