Great Lakes Bank Associates, friends and family members are joining together for the sixth year to participate in the Cancer Support Center Walk of Hope. This fall marks the tenth year since completing my initial cancer treatment and six years since my recurrence. Thank you for your support in so many different ways along this journey. I hope you will be able to help me celebrate this milestone anniversary.
Please consider joining us in one of the Center’s biggest fundraising events during the year, The Walk of Hope, on Sunday October 3, 2010.
We’re hoping our team will raise $10,000 again and bring out more than 100 team members. The picture to the left is last year's team after we were presented with the Top Team Award. You can choose to walk 1, 3 or 5 miles. We will meet at our Ridge Road branch (2034 Ridge Road, Homewood) at 10:45 a.m. to announce or team highlights, walking as a team to the Irwin Center Park where the event kicks off at 11:30 a.m.
The Cancer Support Center and its staff have been there for me and many others in our area - not only with support groups, but with their informational library, nutrition programs, yoga, etc. Be sure to check out the center and their website www.cancersupportcenter.org.
