Shirley Langford's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Williams Run. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
I am walking in memory of my daughter, Sophia. She died on February 3, 2009 when she was only four years old. She suffered from anaplastic medulloblastoma, which was a very aggressive brain cancer. She fought bravely and lived her life to the fullest. She taught us all how to live with grace in the worst of circumstances.
We miss her terribly each day.
Please help us raise money to find a cure so that no more children have to suffer from brain cancer. Help us stop more children from dying too young. Help us keep brain tumors from taking children away from the families who love them. Any small amount helps.
The money raised will benefit Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, an organization that we received a lot of help from. The money raised will be split between research and family aid. They help families financially with mortgage payments, gas money, and bill payments. This helped us a lot because I had to quit my job when Sophia was diagnosed. Families have enough to worry about without with a sick child. Helping these families financially is a way to ease the burden a little.
Thank you again for your support. We will never forget Sophia.
Sincerely,
Shirley Langford and family
