Beige Man Group Fundraising Page
Each year, we walk in memory of my father-in-law David W. Soltys, who lost his battle with cancer in 2002. It was our intention to walk in celebration of my father, Ulysse E. Belliveau, who was survivor of prostate cancer as of October 2008. However, a combination of liver, colon, and lymph node cancers took his life on April 6, 2009 after only a few weeks of illness. We lost two incredibly wonderful and loving men to cancer, but we will never lose the gift that the Cancer Center offers us, hope.
Each story that comes from working with the Cancer Center is unique, but they all have one thing in common, Hope. Hope for healing. Hope for life. Hope for the future.
The Cancer Center exists because of the needs of its patients, but it is made great because of its team of doctors, nurses and staff. We owe them a debt of gratitude for all that they do and the gracious way that they do it. The Annual Cancer Walk provides these folks with the funds needed to keep the Center on the cutting edge so that its patients can have a safe haven to go to help them heal.
