Dunk 4 Darfur Donation page!

Please considering donating, whether you are a student, family member, faculty member or just a supporter. As of now, over 400,000 Darfuris have died, and more than 2.5 million more have been displaced. All event proceeds will go to the Genocide Intervention Network, an international non-profit organization that is at the forefront of the United States’ efforts to end the crisis (the parent organization of STAND). WHO: Hosted by the Vassar

College chapter of STAND, A 

Student Anti-Genocide Coalition,

for the students and faculty of 

Vassar College.

WHAT: A 3v3 basketball 

tournament to benefit the victims

of the genocide in the Darfur 

region of Sudan.  Registration fees

will go directly to the Genocide

Intervention Network.

There will also be a RAFFLE,

MUSIC and FOOD, plus individual

competitions including 1-on-1

versus a varsity player and a

three-point contest!

WHERE: The Vassar College

Athletic and Fitness Center

in the Walker Bays.

WHEN:   Friday, May 7, 2010.  12-4:30pm.

WHY: Though we say never again, genocide is still all

around us.  Show that you care.  Show that you want to

do everything in your power to not only protect and aid

the victims of the current human rights conflicts and

genocide that plague the world, but to PREVENT further

atrocities.

 

 All skill levels are encouraged to participate!
