Connecticut Sexual Assault Crisis Services, Inc. (www.connsacs.org) is a statewide coalition of individual sexual assault crisis programs, dedicated to ending sexual violence through victim assistance, community education, and public policy advocacy. CONNSACS aims to ensure high quality, comprehensive, and culturally competent victim services.
Facts:
In the state of Connecticut alone, nearly one in five Connecticut residents have experienced sexual assault in their lifetime. Anyone can fall victim to sexual assault, including men, women, and children of all ages, races, religions, and economic classes. It happens in even the safest of locations and is often perpetrated by people the victim knows. Many victims feel isolated and ashamed, and are hesitant to come forth for the support and healing they deserve. Sexual assault is a serious and violent crime that is unfortunately prevalent in society, and commonly overlooked.
What Can You Do?:
Please consider making a donation.
As business leaders and members of our community, we ask for your help in supporting Connecticut Sexual Assault Crisis Services, Inc. in their mission to put a stop to sexual violence and provide victims in the state of Connecticut the support they need to heal. Every penny raised and donated goes directly to CONNSACS so that it can continue to provide quality support and education in the state of CT.
Please watch the wonderful video CONNSACS has made.
If nothing else, take away from it 2:02-2:09:
"If I could tell you one thing, it's that you are not alone.
I never have to be alone again."
