As live-in companions, our monkey helpers provide 20-30 years of service, bringing the gifts of independence, companionship, dignity and hope to the people they help. Helping Hands raises funds to support our programs and placements, so that we can provide monkey-helpers to individuals with disabilities without charge to the recipient.
Helping Hands also educates thousands of young people annually in schools, camps, and youth programs through the Spinal Cord Injury Prevention Program (SCIPP.) SCIPP teaches preventive measures for safety awareness and making good choices, heightens sensitivity to the challenges of being disabled, and promotes understanding of the human-animal bond.
