Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page.

They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the Plunge and I am one of those folks.  I did this last year and the best part of my experience was meeting some of the participants of the Special Olympics, who personally thanked us at the event.

I’m collecting pledges from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the more than 22,000 athletes of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

Unfortunately I will not be jumping into the freezing water this year, as I was seriously ill a few weeks ago and my doctor has advised against it. But this is a dear cause to me, and I will be joining the MBA team at Mahomet and supporting them as they take the plunge.

Our Illinois MBA team, along with over 3,600 people statewide will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois.
